Here is what Sandy had to say about meeting Cy: Making a choice to surround yourself with individuals who inspire you is key. I decided on Tuesday morning to listen to the keynote speaker at the Maine HR Convention. Cy Wakeman was dynamic, real, and powerful with her words. She was speaking to a couple hundred HR managers regarding why spending time engaging with low accountable employees is hurting business. You know the ones who, as she put it, have the BMW attitude BITCH, MOAN & WINE. Instead, business owners should start paying attention to the top talent; the HIGH accountable employees, the ones who choose to believe in the management team, the direction of the company, and have the attitude of YES we can! I call these folks YOUR ROCK STAR TALENT! After the speech I got to spend some time with Cy and quickly realized she is exactly the type of person I choose to surround myself with. She is an ON PURPOSE WOMEN, a mother to 8 boys, following her passion and leading an exciting lifestyle. It was clear after listening to her speak and spending time with her that when you lead by example in your business, your team is engaged. It was such a pleasure meeting Cy!
Looking forward to getting our copies of Cy’s books!
