Monday Business Spotlight: AHC

For our business spotlight today we are featuring Advantage Home Care owner Richard Blumenthal. Advantage Home Care (AHC) is a Maine based company that provides an affordable solution for older individuals or couples who to want to remain independent in their homes as long as possible. I got to spend some time with Rich, and his passion for what he does is not only clearly apparent, it also ripples down to his team. Taking care of individuals who need assistance is difficult not only on the client but on the care giver as well. No one wants to give up their independence, and Rich and his trained team of health care professionals are there to support and care for patients 24/7.

Advantage Home Care also offers free workshops to family members of Alzheimer’s Disease sufferers. Advantage Home Care and Kindred Assisted Living Monarch Center provide free all-day workshops for family members caring for their loved one’s diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementias. Attendees receive education about the disease and learn strategies and techniques that have been successful in dealing with the needs and behaviors associated with dementia. Recently a good friend found that her parent was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and she is struggling to find the best way to care for her aging parent. For anyone who has a family member living with Alzheimer’s disease, the education in conjunction with the care that Advantage Home offers is invaluable.

Thank you Rich and team for being you. If you know someone who’s parent or loved one may need care, Advantage Home Care is the place to call. Check out their website.
