I am busy!

How many times a day do you say this? You also listen to a lot of people tell you how busy they are. It’s become the default response when you ask anyone how they’re doing: “Busy!” “Busy busy.” “SO busy.”

Is this how we want to live? Or have we been programmed to live this way?

One of the most repeated complaints I hear is, “I don’t have enough time!” Another one is, “I am too busy.” As a manager, business owner, or dedicated professional I am sure you are busy. You are busy because you have designed a plan for your business and a plan for your life. You know how to achieve maximum results.

My question for you, is your team as busy as you are?

I will use the example of a Designated Broker who said to me, “I don’t have time for coaching, I am too busy!” I have met many DB’s who complain about burning the candle at both ends. I always follow up that response with a question: Is your team as busy as you are? Does your team understand the key components in having a prosperous career? Do they understand that they are in the lead generating business? Independent real estate contractors should consider their independent contractor relationship as “Co-owner.” They should work just as hard as you are. They should complete a business plan every year, keeping track of how many sales are needed to create the NET income desired. As a DB, implementing and establishing systems will enhance your ability to communicate with your team and your clients. Having a clear vision of how much money is needed will give everyone the appropriate work ethic.

The key to avoiding burnout is planning and having balance between personal and professional life.
