We love spotlighting businesses that are possibility thinkers. Today it’s Cookies Direct (Mainecookies.com) in Yarmouth, Maine. This company sends cookies all over the world and adds an extra special treat when someone sends a package to a deployed solider.
Today we received a package of 2 dozen homemade cookies, beautifully packaged, delivered right to our door. What makes Cookie’s Direct really stand out is the wow factor experienced from when the order was placed to the delivery. We were able to identify 5 ways this company rates high on our customer service meter. Follow their lead and success will follow…
#1 Approach. The owner, Debbie Godowsky, sent us an email asking if she could send us a box of cookies no strings attached.
#2 Complimentary. Who would turn down a free box of cookies? Probably no one. What a great way to get their product right to the customer’s front door.
#3 Attention to detail. The email was addressed to me, Hi Sandy, not hello business owner.
#4 Prospecting for opportunity. One of our team members emailed the company and asked who we should thank for the referral. They said they found our business through the Chamber of Commerce website.
#5 Customer Service. Knowing the hurricane could change the timing of receiving our package, Debbie emailed and then personally called us to see if we wanted to wait to have the cookies sent.
We probably don’t have to mention that the cookies were delicious!
