I was speaking with one of our coaching clients this afternoon and she told me that one of her greatest successes was sitting down to create a vision board. This is something we often suggest to our clients. For her, getting her ideas and thoughts visually accessible has helped her focus on her dreams. A vision board is simply a visual representation or collage of the things that you want to have or do in your life. They can also be images of what you want to become.
There are so many different ways you can do this. A simple Google image search will give you plenty of example. A vision board can be as simple as a poster or foam board with cut-out pictures, drawings or writing on it of the things that you want in your life. One of our clients uses a simple string that she hangs images on using black office clips. I like to cover my composition notebooks that I use for my morning pages. Any way you decide to create your vision is fine, just get the vision out there into the universe.
On our recent dinner cruise Lisa Clement, from The Positivity Institute, spoke about the law of attraction which states that we attract into our lives anything that we give attention to. If you think positive thoughts, you will attract positive results. Consequently, the same goes for negative thoughts. Like Lisa, we use vision boards to put out into the universe that which we want to attract. A vision board is a simple yet powerful visualization tool that activates the universal law of attraction to begin manifesting your dreams into reality.
Vision boards are an important tool in your success tool box. They are inexpensive and easy to make, but their potential value to your life, and your business, is infinite. This concept is not knew of course, but we thought we would share it here on the blog in case it is new to you. Do you have a vision board?
